LexaCon

It all started when…

LexaCon formed in the early days of grad school at Columbia College Chicago. Friends at first sight as they say! From films to musicals to everything in between, LexaCon does it all. Notable credits include “Balloon Animal” directed by Em Johnson, “Static Space” directed by Kate Black-Spence and John Klein, and “Never Not Yours” directed by John Klein and Steve Kniss.

Alexa’s background studying Baroque harpsichord and Classic rock combined with Connor’s background in Irish and American folk music makes for a truly unique combination. Alexa plays theremin, guitar, piano, mandolin, and sings. Connor plays accordion, mandolin, banjo, guitar, mandolin, and sings, too!

When not composing or making music, Alexa and Connor can be found attending Renaissance Faire, preparing costumes for Halloween, participating in their coveted Book Club, seeing films at the theater, hiking, or spending time with their cats.

Alexa and Connor have been active members of the Alliance for Women Film Composers since 2016. Alexa has recently been elected Executive Director, and Connor serves on the Board of Directors.
